SECURITY AND ACCESS...

The system controlling the access is composed of a biometric scanner that authenticates access via fingerprints, access card readers, an alarm system and a series of cameras.

COLOCATION AREA...

The colocation area offers half-racks of 22U and full-racks of 48U. The clients for this type of service have 24/7 physical access to their hosting space through the biometric and magnetic cards access control system.

COMPUTERS (UPS)...

The generators (UPS) are supplied in electricity from Hydro-Quebec. The system is reinforced by the addition of a set of 300 KVA UPS, plus the installation of a new 500 KVA generator.

POWER SUPPLY REDUNDANCY...

In case of power failure, in less than 15 seconds, the diesel generator automatically starts up via ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) in order to provide the supply necessary to keep the servers in good operating order. So as to avoid unpleasant surprises such as winter frost on pipes or any other problem, the generator is used every Monday morning for 15 minutes to supply in power the entire data centre.

AIR CONDITIONING AND CLIMATE CONTROL...

The air conditioning of a data centre is as important as its power supply. VST-HD?s air conditioning system relies on completely redundant Liebert units of 22 tons, connected to independent compressors. These air conditioning units are used to regulate temperature and control humidity level in the data centre.
